Even though blue is not my favorite color, I have an affection for blue and white dishes and cobalt glass. I chose to redress the kitchen sideboard in blue and white.
Royal Doulton Romney is the pattern name of the china and it was a recent thrifting find. The blue and white teapot is a Boykin heirloom and the Blue Willow pitcher is a Hair heirloom from my first husband's family.
The white teapot is by Wedgwood and was found while antiquing in Georgia. The white cups and saucers are part of a set found thrifting and the pattern is Wedgwood Queens Plain.
The cobalt silver overlay revealed a nice surprise when it was polished. There was a pretty scene on it. Not bad for $4! The little cobalt lamp was found while cleaning out the Boykin house recently.
